About Me

Hello there! Looking to know some more about who Leighton Auld is?

Having recently graduated after completing a Computer Gameplay Design and Production course, ​this enthusiastic designer is looking to begin an exciting journey into the games industry. The focus ​right now, is on a level design approach with my work as designing, iterating, and integrating the ​ideas into engine is something that I find great enjoyment in. For me, nothing can truly beat the ​feeling of watching something come to life, a design that I have had a hand in. It is extemely ​rewarding to see the evolution of ideas, taking it from a note on paper to a fully functioning design, ​and then seeing the final result when people start playing. The hope is always to achieve smiles ​and laughs.

My passion for video games stems from an early age of playing games such as Grand Theft Auto ​3 on the PS2, Motocross Maniacs on the GameBoy Colour, and anything I could get my hands on ​as a child. This passion evolved into me wanting to create experiences for others that I also had ​from my past. There is a huge history of games resources as yet untapped so it should keep me ​busy for some time.

The aim? Bring the fun to future generations, help them feel all the joy and frustrations and then ​sense of achievement. Maybe one day something I am involved with can inspire a future designer ​to join this new world I find myself in.

I am also a big fan of music (Hip hop, Jungle, Garage, plus much more), airsoft, adventurous ​walks, and Dungeons and Dragons. Don’t let any of that put you off if it isn’t your thing though!

In the grand scheme of things I am just starting out but you never know, I could be the fresh voice ​you need. I could be the guy that you are looking for, but if you never meet me, you will never find ​out! If any of this interests you, let's connect!
